Symbol
The mark
Two peaks — one drawn, one echoed beneath it. Transparent background, so it sits on any surface. Use the dark version on anything darker than #666.
The SVGs are the mark alone on a transparent background — that is the version to use almost everywhere. The PNGs are the app icon: the same mark on its gradient backdrop, already rounded, for places that want a square avatar (an app store, a GitHub org, a directory tile).
Lockup
Mark and wordmark
- — The wordmark is always lowercase. Never “Volanea” in the lockup, never all caps.
- — Typeface: Newsreader at weight 300, available free on Google Fonts. Falls back to Iowan Old Style, then Georgia.
- — Gap between mark and wordmark is roughly a quarter of the mark's height.
- — Clear space on all four sides: at least the height of the mark.
- — Minimum size: 20px tall for the mark, 88px wide for the lockup.
In running text the company is Volanea, capitalized and treated as singular — “Volanea sends…”, not “Volanea send…”.
Palette
Colors
Near-black ink on warm off-white. There is no saturated brand color and no neon accent — the only color in the system is a set of soft pastels used as out-of-focus background washes, never as fills for text, buttons, or the logo.

- — Recolor the mark. Ink or white, nothing else.
- — Stretch, rotate, outline, or add effects to it.
- — Rebuild the lockup with a different typeface or spacing.
- — Put the light mark on a busy photo or a mid-tone background where it loses contrast.
- — Use the mark as your own app icon, or in a way that suggests Volanea endorses or partners with you when it doesn't.
